"Paleten 24 – Balkan" Ltd. operates in the field of production, warehousing, and logistics, which requires a constant and reliable supply of electricity. Although the company already uses a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP), a significant part of the generated energy is not utilized efficiently in real time due to discrepancies between production and consumption. This leads to lower efficiency and lost benefits from the use of renewable energy. To achieve optimal energy utilization and ensure stable power supply during peak loads or grid interruptions, the company needs to implement local energy storage facilities – batteries with a total capacity of 180 kWh, combined with an inverter. This will allow for the accumulation of generated energy and its efficient use during periods of higher demand, without additional dependence on the external electricity grid. Direct target group: the company’s personnel and management. Indirect target groups: clients, partners, suppliers, and the local community. Overall objective: To improve energy efficiency and sustainability through the establishment of a system for energy storage and management. Specific objectives: - Installation of a local energy storage system (batteries with a total energy capacity of 180 kWh + inverter); - Increasing the efficiency of energy use; - Reducing transmission losses and unused energy; - Ensuring uninterrupted power supply during peak demand; - Contributing to the green transition and compliance with the DNSH principle (“Do No Significant Harm”). Expected results: - Implemented and fully operational energy storage system; - Increased share of self-consumed generated energy; - Reduced carbon emissions and energy costs. Main activities: - Technical design and preparation of the investment; - Delivery and installation of batteries, inverter, and the necessary infrastructure; - Project management, monitoring, and publicity.
