The project proposal of "BIOPHARMA LABORATORIES" EOOD envisages the implementation of measures to increase energy efficiency by building local energy storage facilities - battery systems in combination with inverters, intended for installation at an existing PV power plant for its own needs. The company, with main code NACE Rev.2 20.42 “Manufacture of perfumes and toilet preparations”, is a well-established Bulgarian manufacturer in the cosmetics sector, with a long-standing history and innovative approach to the development of high-quality hair care and beauty products. Since its establishment in 1994, the company has developed a sustainable market presence by combining the expertise of its team of specialists and laboratory research with a modern production base in the city of Plovdiv. The implementation of the investment will provide opportunities for optimal energy resource management, increased independence from external energy supplies, and reduced energy costs. The energy storage systems will contribute to balancing consumption, efficient use of available electricity, and reducing the company’s carbon footprint. This will create conditions for a more environmentally friendly and sustainable production model, in line with national and European policies for energy efficiency and green transformation. The project reflects the strategic vision of “BIOPHARMA LABORATORIES” Ltd. for modernization, sustainability, and achieving long-term competitiveness through the application of best practices and high industry standards. The investment is fully compliant with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle towards the environment and will contribute to the achievement of the European Union’s objectives for energy efficiency, emission reduction, and sustainable growth.
