The project envisages the implementation of a local energy storage system in a hotel facility by purchasing and installing batteries for storing electricity, in combination with a suitable inverter , with a battery capacity of 158.72 kWh. The aim is to increase energy efficiency, reduce operating costs and achieve higher energy independence of the facility. The system will allow the accumulation of electricity produced by an existing own photovoltaic plant (or from the grid at lower rates) and its use during hours of higher consumption or during power outages. This will lead to a reduction in electricity costs, a reduction in the carbon footprint and an increase in comfort and security for hotel guests. The expected benefits of the project are: Reduction in electricity bills by using stored energy during peak periods; Increasing energy security and ensuring continuity of services; Better absorption of energy from renewable sources and reduction of losses; Contribution to the sustainable development of the tourism sector and improvement of the environmental profile of the hotel. The project is fully compatible with the objectives of the Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises Programme 2021–2027 to promote energy efficiency, the use of renewable energy sources and the transition to a low-carbon economy in business. The expected implementation period is up to 12 months after approval of the financing.
