The project of TM Elektrik Ltd. aims to improve energy efficiency and promote the use of renewable energy sources through the construction of a photovoltaic (PV) power plant with inverters for self-consumption. The company operates under NACE Code 25.51 – Forging, pressing, stamping and roll-forming of metal; powder metallurgy, producing various metal components and parts used in multiple industrial sectors. The production process is characterized by high electricity consumption, mainly for operating presses, machinery, and supporting equipment. The high energy costs have a significant impact on the company’s production expenses and overall competitiveness. To address these challenges, TM Elektrik Ltd. plans to invest in a renewable energy installation that will reduce dependency on external electricity suppliers, lower operating costs, and ensure stable and sustainable energy supply for production needs. The investment includes the installation of a rooftop photovoltaic system composed of solar panels, inverters, and the necessary electrical infrastructure. The generated electricity will be used entirely for the company’s own needs. The implementation of the project will lead to: Reduced energy costs and improved energy independence of the enterprise; Optimization of production processes through a reliable, renewable energy source; Decreased greenhouse gas emissions and contribution to the green transition of Bulgarian industry; Enhanced competitiveness and sustainability of the company through energy efficiency improvements. The project fully complies with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 – “Energy Efficiency and Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Enterprises”, supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy and the achievement of energy and environmental sustainability in the manufacturing sector.
