Description

The project proposal envisages the introduction of energy-efficient measures in the Todorovi Guest House (family hotel), located in Stara Zagora. The main problems of the facility are related to inefficient heating means and high energy carrier costs, which are transferred to the value of accommodation and catering services. This makes the hotel unattractive for tourists and guests of the city. Within the scope of the project, a comprehensive investment is planned to improve the energy efficiency of the facility, including:
- Replacement of the outdated and amortized pyrolysis heating system with a new, energy-efficient biomass boiler with a power of 50 kW;
- Introduction of an on-site renewable energy production system: a 30 kW photovoltaic power plant combined with a 60 kWh energy storage battery. The new PV system will produce the energy needed to power the boiler and all the needs of the guest house, including the kitchen, hotel part, garden, common areas. The produced energy will be intended only for own consumption, without the possibility of sale.
The new energy-efficient solutions are expected to increase the occupancy rate of the hotel, especially during the winter season, as well as to improve the efficiency of the service infrastructure at reduced energy costs. Improved climate control is expected to make the stay of guests and staff much more comfortable. Reduced energy costs will make the service more affordable, making the facility more attractive to visitors to the city. The project will be implemented in Stara Zagora within 12 months.
