Investment intention of Expressstroy Ltd envisages construction of a photovoltaic power plant for own consumption in combination with local energy storage facilities, located in the city of Pernik, Iztok, 11 Leninski Prospekt Blvd. The investment includes: Installation of a photovoltaic system with peak capacity of 50 Kw and local energy storage facilities of 51 kWh capacity. The purpose of the photovoltaic system in combination with local energy storage facilities is to provide electricity to the company's facility, covering part of the facility's electricity consumption without exporting (returning) excess electricity to the operator's electricity grid (the electricity distribution company). The company is constantly developing its activities, which also determines the need for electricity that constantly grows as well. The project will ensure company's own electricity production and independence from volatile price changes we've experienced when purchasing electricity from the free market. The investment in storage batteries will guarantee availability of the electricity when there is no incoming solar energy. After the new equipment is installed, all six environmental goals set out in this Procedure conditions, will be met. The investments are in line with both the amount of power allocated to the facility under the contract with the electricity distribution company and the actual consumption calculated over the last calendar year. This will ensure the efficiency of the photovoltaic power plant and prevent the loss of part of the energy produced. The expected effect of achieving the project's objective is to increase the Applicant's competitiveness by reducing the cost of the products and services offered for sale by limiting the impact of electricity costs. This will achieve the acceleration of the transition to climate neutrality envisaged in the Procedure by improving the energy efficiency and independence of the enterprise.
