Description

By purchasing and installing a photovoltaic system and energy-saving lighting in the refrigerated cold-storage warehouse of "Frigocommerce International" Ltd. in the town of Stamboliyski - the energy efficiency of the cold-storage facility and, accordingly, of the company will be significantly improved. The cold-storage facility has a very extensive area of over 7000m2 built-up of refrigeration chambers, and accordingly the effect of improving energy efficiency is significantly reflected with each improvement. It is namely during the sunnier summer months that solar panels are most efficient, and that is simultaneously exactly when greater cooling capacity is needed to maintain the temperatures in the refrigeration chambers. Therefore, a system of solar panels is an optimal solution to support the main activity of the cold-storage facility. Optimizing the energy efficiency of lighting in the premises is also an extremely useful contribution, since the chambers rely entirely on lamps (there is no natural light) and the areas are large - accordingly, lighting is also a significant expense that should be optimized in order to increase the competitiveness of the enterprise. The two improvements will contribute to a significant and substantial reduction in the main cost of the refrigeration facility (electricity), which will enable it to develop in the direction of offering lower prices to its tenants, as well as consumption costs for the company's own needs.
