Description

POLIKART Ltd. is an established Bulgarian manufacturer of boxes, envelopes, and packaging made of cardboard, paperboard, paper, and micro-corrugated cardboard, personalized for each brand. The company operates a state-of-the-art printing facility and holds ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 certifications, ensuring sustainable, modern, and responsible production.
In line with the company’s commitment to environmentally friendly and resource-efficient growth, the project proposal of POLIKART Ltd. is focused on improving energy efficiency and increasing the share of renewable energy sources used in its production processes. The main goal of the investment is to reduce energy costs and the carbon footprint by replacing outdated and energy-intensive equipment with modern, high-efficiency technologies that comply with contemporary standards for sustainable production and green transformation.
To achieve these objectives, the project foresees the supply and installation of three biomass boilers for the generation of thermal energy from renewable sources, as well as two air compressors with inverter control, which will optimize electricity consumption. The implementation of these measures is expected to result in a significant reduction of specific energy consumption per unit of production, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and enhanced energy independence of the enterprise.
The realization of the project will ensure higher production efficiency, improved working conditions, and lower operating costs, while simultaneously strengthening the competitiveness of POLIKART Ltd. both in the domestic and international markets.
The project is fully aligned with the objectives and priorities of the Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises Programme (CIEP) 2021–2027, Priority “Circular Economy”, and directly contributes to enhancing energy efficiency, promoting sustainable resource use, and supporting the transition towards a low-carbon economy.
