Planning region: All

Description

The project of SK Building JSC aims to improve energy efficiency and increase the share of renewable energy used in the company’s operations. The enterprise, based in Kazanlak, Bulgaria, is a well-established construction company specializing in the design, construction, and renovation of residential, public, and industrial buildings, roofing systems, facades, installations, and dry construction works.

Within the project, the company plans to introduce energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy systems that will reduce total electricity consumption, increase productivity, and optimize production processes. The investment includes the purchase and installation of new high-efficiency equipment, as listed in the approved categories of eligible assets, and the construction of a photovoltaic system for self-consumption at the company’s production facility.

The project fully complies with the objectives of the Programme “Competitiveness and Innovations in Enterprises” 2021–2027, Priority 2 “Circular Economy”, by supporting the transition toward climate neutrality through reducing the carbon footprint, optimizing energy use, and increasing the share of renewable energy in the company’s energy mix.

The implementation of the project will lead to a significant reduction in energy consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and improved environmental sustainability of SK Building JSC. The expected results include enhanced competitiveness, reduced energy intensity, and strengthened long-term resilience of the company, serving as a model for environmentally responsible and sustainable industrial development in the Bulgarian construction sector.
