The project of “CITY-M” Ltd. envisages the implementation of targeted measures to improve energy efficiency and promote the use of renewable energy in an existing building where the company carries out its main economic activity under NACE code 47.91 – “Retail sale via mail order houses or via Internet.” As a small enterprise operating in the vending sector, the company aims to increase the sustainability and resource efficiency of its operational base by reducing energy costs and transitioning to a cleaner and more independent energy system. Within the project, the installation of a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) is foreseen, combined with an energy storage system. The measures are fully in line with the eligible activities under the procedure and will make a significant contribution to reducing electricity consumption from the grid, lowering energy costs, and increasing the company’s independence from fluctuations in electricity prices. The investment is fully consistent with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle regarding the environment and will support the achievement of climate resilience of the company’s operations. The planned technologies comply with modern environmental standards and will contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions generated by the company’s functioning. The expected results of the project implementation include improving the building’s energy performance, increasing the share of energy used from renewable sources, optimizing operating costs, enhancing competitiveness, and supporting the sustainable development of the enterprise. In addition, the project will contribute to achieving the national and European objectives in the field of decarbonization and the green transition. The proposal is in full compliance with the horizontal principles under Article 9 of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060, as well as with the DNSH principle.
