The present project proposal has been developed to meet the needs of Nitex Ltd. for improving energy efficiency and increasing the use of renewable energy sources in the company’s production activities. The target group of the project is Nitex Ltd. – a small enterprise classified under NACE-2008 code 13.99. The overall objective of the project proposal is to enhance energy efficiency and increase the share of renewable energy sources in the enterprise’s operations, with the aim of reducing the carbon footprint, optimizing energy consumption, and supporting the transition towards climate neutrality. This overall objective will be achieved through the construction and commissioning of a photovoltaic installation combined with inverters, with an installed capacity of 100 kW, as well as the installation and commissioning of four recuperation units for heating, cooling, and ventilation, each with a capacity of 1,000 m³/h. Expected results from the project implementation include improved energy efficiency in the company’s production facility and increased use of renewable energy in its operations: 1. Commissioned photovoltaic installation with invertors for self-consumption with an installed capacity of 100 kW; 2. Commissioned 4 recuperative units for heating, cooling, and ventilation, each with a capacity of 1000 m³/h." 3. Annual renewable energy generation and use – 156,000 kWh; 4. Reduction of the company’s carbon footprint by approximately 87 tons of CO₂ per year; 5. Decrease in electricity costs by about BGN 12,000 annually; 6. Reduction of energy consumption in the production base by around 30%; 7. Energy savings per unit of production – 18.24 kWh / BGN 1,000. The planned investments under the project comply with the “Do No Significant Harm” principle regarding the environment and will contribute to the country’s ecological transition.
