APELO Bulgaria EOOD is a company based in Sofia, which performs surface treatment and coating of metal (NACE-2008: 25.61). The company's main production base is located at: Sofia, 119 Iliyantsi Blvd. where all key processes related to the preparation of metal surfaces, the application of decorative and protective coatings, and subsequent quality control are carried out. This makes the company highly dependent on external electricity suppliers and exposes it to the risks of rising and fluctuating energy prices. As part of the project, APELO Bulgaria EOOD plans to implement a set of energy efficiency measures, including: replacing the existing lighting with energy-saving linear luminaires; installing a high-efficiency air-to-air heat pump system with heating capacity; introduction of a new energy-efficient compressed air compressor with inverter control and dryer; compressed air receiver; installation of a waste heat recovery system; construction of a thermal insulation system made of sandwich panels for external walls.The implementation of these measures will enable APELO Bulgaria EOOD to reduce its overall energy consumption, optimize its electricity costs, improve working conditions, and reduce its carbon footprint. This will increase the company's energy independence and competitiveness and support its sustainable development in line with national and European energy efficiency and decarbonization targets.
