Kamt AD, founded in 1953, is a leading manufacturer of specialized agricultural machinery in Bulgaria, offering products such as disc harrows, deep loosening machines, stalk crushers, cultivators, tractor rollers, universal vineyard-mounted machines, and milling equipment. To enhance energy efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint, Kamt AD plans to invest in modern local energy systems, including: Local energy storage system with inverters (122 kW) – high-capacity battery units connected to inverters that convert direct current into alternating current to supply the production lines and office facilities. The system enables optimal use of electricity, stores surplus energy, and reduces dependence on the external grid. Benefits include lower electricity costs, improved energy resilience, reliability of critical production lines, and long-term return on investment. Compressed air system with inverter control and dryer (15 kW) – a high-efficiency rotary compressor with adaptive speed control according to consumption, equipped with storage tanks and an integrated dryer. The system provides continuous pressure and clean air for machines and pneumatic tools, reduces electricity consumption by up to 15%, enhances production reliability, and extends the service life of the equipment. These investments are fully aligned with the company’s production strategy as well as national and European priorities for energy efficiency. They will allow for reduced operational costs, increased resilience of the production process, improved product quality and competitiveness, and support the transition to low-carbon production. Implementing these technologies ensures long-term returns and creates the conditions for modern, sustainable, and innovative manufacturing.
