The project of "Telekabel" PLC envisages the implementation of measures to increase energy efficiency within the company. The company develops its main activity under the Economic activity code 61.10 - "Telecommunication activity via fixed networks" and has been an established provider of telecommunications services in Bulgaria for decades. In the context of dynamic technological changes and the need for sustainable development, the company plans investments in systems for the production and storage of energy from renewable sources. The project proposal includes the purchase and commissioning of: 1 pc. photovoltaic panels in combination with inverter/s and 1 pc. local energy storage facility (battery) in combination with inverter/s for own needs. The implementation of these measures will allow "Telekabel" PLC to reduce energy consumption from non-renewable sources, optimize electricity costs and achieve higher energy efficiency in its daily activities. In addition to the direct financial effect, the investment will lead to an improvement in the working environment and will strengthen the competitiveness of the company, which provides a comprehensive range of telecommunications services - digital and HD television, internet, data transmission and fixed telephone service. The investment is in full compliance with the principle of "no significant harm" (DNSH) on the environment, meets all applicable environmental standards and contributes to achieving the goals of energy efficiency and sustainable growth at the national and European level. By implementing this project, "TELEKABEL" PLC will increase its resource efficiency, improve the sustainability of its production and adapt to modern requirements for a low-carbon and energy-efficient economy.
