The project involves purchase and installation of photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 28.98 kWp and an energy storage battery with capacity of 125 kW to meet the needs of BIJU-2009 EOOD. The investment aims to improve the company's energy efficiency and increase the share of energy used from renewable sources. The realization of the project will lead to reduction of production costs related to electricity consumption, which on the other side will maintain the competitiveness of BIJU-2009 EOOD, ensure price stability for the produced goods, and facilitate a transition to a circular economy. By utilizing electricity from renewable energy sources for its own needs and stored energy, the company will reduce electricity costs and enhance its financial sustainability. The presence of a battery will enable more flexible management of the energy flow within the company. The project aligns with the objectives of the procedure to improve energy efficiency in enterprises and promote the use of energy from renewable sources, thereby accelerating the transition to climate neutrality and reducing the carbon footprint. It will be implemented in compliance with the "do no significant harm" principles regarding the environment. BIJU-2009 EOOD will follow the communication and transparency principles during the project’s implementation by informing the public about the project’s objectives and the support provided by the European Regional Development Fund through the PIKP. During the project’s execution, the company will apply measures in accordance with the applicable information and communication rules outlined in Annex IX “Communication and Visibility – Articles 47, 49, and 50” of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060. The project represents a strategic step toward energy efficiency, sustainable resource management, and economic optimization of electricity costs for BIJU-2009 EOOD. This will lead to sustainable growth and increased competitiveness for the company.
