Printing House SIRA was established in 1990 in the city of Veliko Tarnovo, where it continues to carry out its activities at present in its own facility with an area of 4,000 m². In the early years of its existence, the company specialized in the production of multicolor sheet-fed offset printing and finishing services. Through regular investments in production equipment and the expansion of its personnel, the company began performing activities in roll flexographic printing, sheet-fed digital offset printing, established a CTP exposure studio, and introduced machines for numerous finishing operations. The current project is part of SIRA’s long-term policy for continuous growth through the regular implementation of high-tech and environmentally friendly solutions. The project envisages the construction of a photovoltaic installation to provide additional operational capacity for renewable energy generation of 190kW. The project will implement one activity, which includes the construction of a system consisting of PV panels, mounted on the roofs of existing buildings, connected to the network with an allocated capacity for the site of 190kW. The PV panels will be connected to three 30kW and one 100kW inverters. The generated electricity will be used exclusively for own needs – SIRA performs its production activity in a single-shift work mode, therefore the plant is expected to provide a significant part of the electricity required for production. The production processes are carried out using specialized equipment and are characterized by high energy consumption, leading to high costs and high prices of the final products. Securing production with electricity from renewable energy sources will lead to a reduction in the company’s expenses and an increase in its competitiveness.
