METAL GROUP ELITE 2006 EOOD produces metal assemblies and blanks in Pleven and is one of the main business partners for the engineering and construction sectors in Bulgaria. Our production facility is equipped with machinery and equipment for cutting, machining and heat treatment of metals, as well as a production line for extrusion of aluminum wire and production of plastic products. The company's ambitions are aimed at continuously upgrading production capabilities and expanding the plant's product range, cost and production cost optimization and increasing competitiveness. Since the start of its production activities, energy efficiency has been a priority for the company. With EU funding and own resources, we have replaced much of our old production equipment, implemented and maintained a certified energy management system according to ISO 50001, and renovated old production facilities. Despite investments in modern, energy-saving machinery and equipment and in thermal insulation of buildings, we have not yet achieved the desired level of energy efficiency and the company's electricity costs are substantial. In continuation of Metal Group Elite's efforts to develop sustainably and to prove itself as an energy-efficient and environmentally responsible enterprise, within the present project we intend to purchase new energy-saving equipment - an air compressor with inverter control, an integrated dehumidifier and a receiver and to build for our own needs an installation of photovoltaic panels in combination with inverters. The expected energy savings from the use of the new compressor are close to 50% compared to the existing situation, and with the installation of the planned 80 kW photovoltaic panels, Metal Group Elite 2006 can reduce its annual electricity costs by around 10-15%, which will make it more competitive in the market and contribute to reducing the carbon emissions generated by the company's production.
