This project provides for the construction and commissioning of a rooftop PV power plant (PV modules with inverters) for self-consumption at the production facility of STEEL CRAFT Ltd. in Asenovgrad. The investment is sized at 150 kW AC rated active output of the inverters, aligned with the real daytime load of the workshop’s energy-intensive operations under a three-shift regime. The solution targets higher energy efficiency, a larger share of renewable energy for self-consumption, and cost stabilisation during peak daytime operation. The scope covers the full engineering cycle- design, procurement, installation, configuration, testing and commissioning, together with all required construction works, mounting structures, AC/DC protection equipment, metering and protective devices, earthing and lightning protection, plus staff training. The system will be installed on an existing roof of a leased site under duly established rights and in compliance with structural and electrical requirements and grid-connection conditions. In parallel, energy monitoring and KPI-based control will be implemented to maintain stable yield and optimise schedules for energy-intensive processes. Expected effects include a substantial reduction of grid purchases during daytime hours, lower specific energy consumption of critical processes, smoothing of peak loads, a more predictable cost base, and an improved ESG profile with clients and partners in the construction sector. The electricity generated will not be sold or transferred; it will be used solely for the company’s own needs in strict compliance with the Call’s eligibility rules. The project fully complies with procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 and the 2021-2027 PKIP programme, as well as the List of Eligible Assets (Annex 4.1, item 14). Its implementation delivers the most adequate balance between expected costs and benefits by sustainably increasing energy efficiency and the share of renewables for self-consumption.
