Description

The project of Baktrade Ltd., implemented in the city of Plovdiv, is aimed at improving the company’s energy efficiency and sustainability through the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PV system) for self-consumption. Baktrade Ltd. is a commercial enterprise specialized in the wholesale trade of machinery, industrial equipment, and spare parts. The company operates a logistics and warehouse base that requires constant energy resources for maintenance, including automation, lighting, air conditioning, warehouse system operation, and IT equipment.

Given the rising electricity prices and the need for sustainable cost management, the company plans to build a 50 kW photovoltaic installation designed entirely to meet the energy needs of its own facilities. The investment will be implemented on the applicant’s existing infrastructure and will include the installation of high-efficiency solar panels, inverters, battery storage systems, and auxiliary equipment ensuring reliable operation and monitoring of the system.

The main objective of the project is to increase the share of renewable energy in the company’s overall energy mix, achieving a reduction in carbon emissions and dependence on electricity supplied from the grid. The expected results include a significant decrease in electricity costs, improved energy independence and resilience of the company, as well as a direct contribution to the achievement of national and European goals for a green and sustainable economy.

The implementation of the project is fully aligned with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 and will have a long-term positive effect on the competitiveness of Baktrade Ltd., improving the company’s environmental profile and contributing to the transition toward climate neutrality.
