The project is aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of Impress Ltd. through the use of energy from renewable sources. The project proposal provides for the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PVP) with an inverter with an output voltage of 100 kW, serving the operation of photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of 138 kW and a local energy storage facility - a battery with a capacity of 200 kW. The system is for the production and storage of electricity only for own consumption, in order to reduce the energy dependence of the enterprise, limit the exposure to price fluctuations of electricity and improve the sustainability of the production activity. The project falls thematic and will be implemented in sector C18.12 "Printing of other publications and printed products", according to NACE 2008. The investment will be realized and will directly serve the energy needs of the production located in the city of Sofia. Plovdiv. The company operates in an energy-intensive sector where production processes – printing machines, finishing lines, lighting and air conditioning – require constant and reliable access to electricity. The new system will produce green electricity from the sun, which will cover almost half of the daily consumption of the printing house. The battery will allow storing the energy produced and using it during higher load hours or when the level of solar radiation is low. In this way, both a reduction in electricity costs and an increase in the energy independence of the enterprise will be achieved. The implementation of the project will contribute to reducing the carbon footprint and will support the efforts of Impress Ltd. to achieve sustainable and energy-efficient development in the context of rising electricity and natural gas prices. The project is in line with the objectives of the procedure and meets the priorities of the European Union in the direction of green transformation and climate neutrality.
