The project proposal of SHAMA-2 Ltd aims to improve the energy efficiency of the company’s service facility located in Varna. The company’s main activity is maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, which requires substantial electricity consumption for lighting, heating, ventilation and operation of equipment within the service halls. The project includes three complementary measures designed to significantly reduce energy costs and enhance the building’s sustainability: 1. Construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PV system) with an installed capacity of 30 kWp, intended entirely for self-consumption. The system will partially replace electricity purchased from the national grid and increase the company’s energy independence. 2. Installation of thermal insulation sandwich panels on the external walls of the building, covering 174 m², to reduce heat losses, improve the indoor climate and increase the efficiency of heating and cooling. 3. Thermal insulation of the roof structure by installing sandwich panels with an area of 29 m², which will minimize heat losses through the roof and further enhance the overall energy performance of the building. The implementation of the project will result in: • reduction of total electricity consumption and energy costs; • lower greenhouse gas emissions and improved environmental performance; • creation of a more comfortable and safe working environment; • increased sustainability and competitiveness of the company. The project fully complies with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 and contributes to the achievement of national and European priorities for improving energy efficiency and promoting the use of renewable energy sources in small and medium-sized enterprises.
