ACCURACY Ltd. is a family-owned enterprise whose main activity is the design and manufacturing of machinery and equipment for the food industry. The company operates its own production facility in the village of Ledenik, Veliko Tarnovo municipality, and is facing rising energy costs that directly affect the cost price of its products and its competitiveness on both domestic and international markets. In this regard, the company plans to implement a project for the construction of a photovoltaic power plant for self-consumption, including solar panels, inverters, a battery block, and auxiliary components. The designed installation has an output (nominal) active power of 50 kW and a battery block with a capacity of 51 kWh. The combination of the photovoltaic system and the energy storage facility will ensure optimal utilization of the generated electricity, as well as the reduction of peak loads and dependence on the electricity distribution grid. The project is consistent with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy Efficiency and Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Enterprises” – improving energy efficiency, increasing the share of renewable energy in the overall energy balance, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The expected effects include a substantial reduction in electricity costs, improved predictability in the management of production processes, and strengthened resilience of the enterprise against fluctuations in energy markets. The implementation of the investment will contribute to the long-term competitiveness of ACCURACY Ltd. through the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies, compliant with the “do no significant harm” principle and with the objectives of the European Green Deal. The project will have a positive environmental and socio-economic impact by reducing the carbon footprint and creating conditions for the sustainable development of the company and the region.
