The applicant “Business Hotel Varna” Ltd. is a small enterprise, whose main economic activity is in the field of hospitality, according to NACE 55.10 – Hotels and similar accommodation, with additional activity under NACE 56.10 – Restaurants and mobile food service activities. The investment will be implemented on the roof area of the hotel building in Varna and is intended entirely for self-consumption, without feeding the generated energy back into the grid. The building is used exclusively for the company’s business activities and is not leased or shared with third parties. The project foresees the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) with a capacity of 60 kW, installed on the hotel roof. The system will include photovoltaic modules, inverters, a battery storage system, mounting structures, and the necessary internal electrical infrastructure to connect to the company’s network. The installation will be built in full compliance with the minimum technical requirements, and the generated energy will be used solely for the hotel’s needs. The investment falls under Category 16 – “Photovoltaic Power Plant (PVPP)” of the List of eligible assets. The building is characterized by high energy intensity, mainly due to the constant operation of heating, cooling, ventilation, and lighting systems. The annual electricity consumption amounts to 518,739 kWh, with peak loads between 47,000 and 55,000 kWh during the summer months. The expected annual energy production of the system is approximately 78,000 kWh, which will cover around 15% of the site’s total consumption. The enterprise has sufficient roof area for the installation and is ready to provide all necessary accompanying activities — structural preparation, internal electrical connection, and integration of an energy management and monitoring system. The project will be implemented at an active commercial site operating year-round, ensuring the efficient use of the generated energy.
