Logistics EOOD is a company based in Sofia, Bulgaria, which operates in the field of trade in lifting equipment—forklifts, electric trucks, and warehouse equipment, both new and used. The company's main economic activity is classified under NACE code 46.69, “Wholesale of other machinery and equipment.” The company is an established trader and supplier of lifting and warehouse equipment for the needs of industrial, logistics, and commercial enterprises throughout the country. Logistika EOOD has its own warehouse facility where the equipment it offers is stored and prepared for sale. The company's activities involve significant energy costs, mainly from using electrical equipment, lighting systems, and electric car chargers, which makes it dependent on outside electricity suppliers. In order to reduce this dependence and optimise its energy costs, the company has already invested in the construction of its own photovoltaic power plant (PVP) with an installed capacity of 29 kW to cover its own needs at the site. As part of this project, Logistika EOOD plans to purchase and implement a local energy storage system (battery) that will be integrated into the existing PVPP. The battery system will allow the accumulation of electricity generated but not used in real time, and its use during hours of increased consumption or when there is no sunshine. Through this investment, the company will achieve: • more efficient management and balancing of energy flows at the site; • reduction of peak load on the electricity distribution network; • optimisation of electricity costs; • increased energy independence and sustainability of the enterprise.
