Description

The project proposal of “SK CONSTRUCTION” Ltd. is aimed at improving the company’s energy efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness through the construction of an in-house photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) with an installed capacity of 50 kWp and an integrated local energy storage system (ESS) with a capacity of 51.2 kWh.

“SK CONSTRUCTION” Ltd. is a manufacturing enterprise specialized in the production of metal structures and their components, including metal profiles for drywall systems, ironworking, carpentry, and tinsmith products. The company’s production process is continuous and requires significant amounts of electricity to power metalworking machines, welding equipment, presses, and cutting tools, as well as lighting, air-conditioning, and ventilation systems. This results in a high level of energy dependence and sensitivity to fluctuations in electricity prices.

Through the implementation of this project, the enterprise aims to cover a significant portion of its daytime electricity consumption through the generation of renewable energy for its own use. The electricity produced will primarily meet the needs of the production process and administrative facilities. The local energy storage system will allow for the accumulation of surplus electricity generated during peak sunlight hours and its efficient use during periods of increased demand or low solar activity.

The implementation of the project will lead to a reduction in energy costs, an increase in energy independence, and a decrease in the company’s carbon footprint. Furthermore, it will create the conditions for more sustainable production and more efficient use of resources.

By investing in its own PVPP with additional ESS and inverter systems, “SK CONSTRUCTION” Ltd. will strengthen its position as a modern and responsible enterprise that actively adopts green technologies and supports the energy transition toward a low-carbon economy.
