The current project aims to strategically increase energy efficiency and implement technologies for producing energy from renewable sources in OGI COM TRADE Ltd., through the construction of a modern photovoltaic power plant. The planned investment includes the supply and installation of high-efficiency solar panels, inverters with optimal technical parameters, batteries for storing the produced energy, mounting structures, wiring, electrical panels, control and monitoring systems, all the necessary equipment for long-term and reliable operation of the system. The need that the project satisfies is directly related to reducing the high costs of electricity, achieving greater energy independence and improving the environmental profile of the enterprise by reducing the carbon footprint of production activities. Currently, the enterprise consumes significant amounts of electricity from the power grid, with the costs of this energy forming a significant share of the cost of production. Rising electricity prices, combined with frequent and sharp price fluctuations on the energy market, have a negative impact on financial results, profitability and competitiveness. The implementation of the project will ensure that a significant part of the company's own energy needs are covered by clean solar energy, which will lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and will support the implementation of the commitments of Bulgaria and the European Union for the transition to a low-carbon economy. In addition to the direct economic benefit, the project will increase the company's resilience to energy crises, improve cost predictability and strengthen its market position. In the long term, the investment will contribute to the modernization of the production infrastructure, reduce dependence on external suppliers and establish an environmentally responsible business model.
