Description

Marktsvet – Iliev and Co. SD is a well-established Bulgarian company operating in the field of tourism, balneology, and rehabilitation, managing a modern tourist facility offering spa and balneological and physiotherapy services and an indoor swimming pool.

In the context of rising energy prices and increased requirements for environmental sustainability, the company aims to optimize energy consumption, reduce operating costs, and improve the energy efficiency of the hotel, especially in energy-intensive areas such as the hotel, pool and balneology departments.

Target group:
Small-sized enterprise – Marktsvet – Iliev and Co. SD and its employees working in the hotel industry.

Project objectives:

To improve energy efficiency and indoor climate at Marktsvet – Iliev and Co. SD, thereby accelerating the transition to climate neutrality, including reducing the company's operating costs and energy dependence.

Expected results:

- Implementation of a modern and efficient air conditioning and heating system for the swimming pool, spa complex, and hotel section;
- Optimized energy consumption and reduced heating and air conditioning costs;
- Improved quality of SPA and balneotherapy services by ensuring constant comfort and micro-climate;
- Contribution to environmental protection through the use of renewable energy sources.

Main project activities:

Activities are planned to improve energy efficiency and indoor climate, including: 
- A climate chamber designed for ventilation and air conditioning of the pool and balneological complex, ensuring an optimal microclimate, eliminating excess moisture and reducing mold, increased comfort, and high energy efficiency.
- Two heat pumps to ensure the necessary temperature and humidity parameters in the pool and balneological complex.
- A pellet boiler, which serves as an environmentally friendly and economical alternative for heat energy production, using renewable biofuel resources.
