Description

The project proposal of LESO-EXPORT-IMPORT OOD is related to the implementation of investments in local energy storage facilities(batteries) in combination with an inverter, which will be integrated into an existing photovoltaic power plant,as they will contribute to the balance in the produced power of photovoltaics and will help overcome one of the shortcomings of renewable sources, namely intermittent production. The company develops hotel and restaurant activities in its facility - the Chateau Montan hotel, with a year-round 24-hour operating mode. The facility is highly energy-intensive due to the continuous consumption of electricity for heating and cooling the rooms with air conditioners, operation of the kitchen(which, due to its ground-level location, cannot be gasified and operates entirely on electricity),as well as 24/7 operation of refrigerators, ventilation, laundry and many other facilities. An already built rooftop CHP plant of up to 80 kW(~79.57 kWp) produces electricity for its own needs, but the lack of a storage system limits self-consumption and the benefits of the investment. The project envisages the purchase and implementation of batteries with a capacity of at least 120 kWh with an inverter. The system will allow the accumulation of daily production and its use in the evening and night hours, when the hotel has the highest load(lighting, restaurant, bars, spa area, air conditioning).A contractor will be selected for the implementation of the activities for delivery, installation, connection and commissioning of the equipment according to the most suitable technological solution for the company. The expected results are related to a significant increase in self-consumption of the produced electricity;reduction of dependence on the grid and electricity costs, depending on its uncertain market and prices;increasing the energy sustainability of the hotel, which operates year-round and around the clock;contribution to decarbonization by reducing carbon emissions.
