The project proposal focuses on an investment for the purchase of energy-efficient equipment – compressed air compressors (Group 9, Annex 4.1). The project will improve energy efficiency, reduce the carbon footprint, and optimize the company’s energy consumption, supporting the transition towards climate neutrality. The new generation compressors have low operating and maintenance costs, high energy efficiency, increased operators safety, easy performance control, reporting functions, and remote monitoring. They are suitable for enterprises with many machines, such as “ITS–Ivona” Ltd., where compressed air is used at different times. This way, high energy efficiency is achieved, and the compressor never works at maximum speed and power of the electric motor. The acquisition of this energy-efficient equipment will help the company stay competitive and continue with its investment plans. The investment will follow the “do no significant harm” principle for the environment, contributing to the ecological transition of the company’s activities and in line with the horizontal principles under Article 9 of Regulation (EU) No. 2021/1060. The investment will also contribute to reaching the cumulative energy savings target for 2021–2030 set in the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan of the Republic of Bulgaria, and will support the objectives of the Energy Union for secure, sustainable, competitive, and affordable energy. Expected results will be improved energy efficiency, reduced energy costs and emissions, and a stronger environmental image of the company.
