AVTOKAR-KOMERS EOOD (NACE 45.32) operates a company-owned retail and service facility at 12 Stara Planina St., Lovech. The site comprises a showroom for auto parts and five service bays for installation/repairs, with a sustained electrical load driven by five inverter air-conditioners (year-round), two three-phase 500-L compressors, four electro-hydraulic lifts, and heavy/light tire-changing equipment. The company does not yet have a PV plant and purchases all electricity from the grid, resulting in high operating costs and exposure to price volatility. The project proposes the construction of a Photovoltaic Power Plant (Group 16) for self-consumption, consisting of PV panels, a 20 kW (AC) inverter, and a battery energy storage system sized with total capacity at least equal to the PV array power (kWh ≥ kW DC). The system will be engineered, supplied, installed, and commissioned by a certified contractor and integrated with EMS/BMS for real-time monitoring, self-consumption optimization, and peak-shaving (e.g., compressor/lift start-ups), as well as for stabilizing supply to HVAC and service lines. The investment addresses a critical need for energy efficiency and resilience: it increases the share of on-site renewable energy, reduces grid imports and specific electricity costs, lowers indirect CO₂ emissions, and improves operational reliability of the service processes. The project is fully compliant with Call BG16RFPR001-2.004: the asset is eligible under Group 16 (panels + inverter(s) + battery(ies) for self-consumption); declaration and costing follow the unit cost methodology (measurement unit: AC kW of the inverter, 20 kW), and disbursement is results-based (commissioning and evidence package). Expected results are commissioned 20 kW (AC) PV plant with battery (kWh ≥ PV kW DC); higher self-consumption and lower grid intake; stabilized power supply for service operations; reduced energy costs and emissions, ensuring long-term sustainability of the investment.
