Description

The project proposal of “Alternativna Energiya” AD for SPA Hotel “Dragalevtsi” aims to improve energy efficiency and ensure stable energy supply through the replacement of an outdated climate system and the implementation of new energy-efficient equipment. The facility operates year-round and includes a hotel section and a restaurant, while the existing SPA area is not part of the heated area. Electricity consumption is significant and represents a substantial share of the operating costs.
Within the project, the following equipment will be supplied and put into operation:
- High-efficiency air-to-water heat pumps with inverter control, integrated into the existing hydraulic system of the building – 4 units;
- Solar systems for hot water and domestic hot water supply: vacuum tube solar collectors.
The solar system will support the coverage of a significant share of DHW demand during periods of adequate solar radiation, reducing dependence on natural gas and electricity. The heat pump systems will provide efficient heating and cooling of the premises, resulting in lower costs and improved comfort for guests and staff.
The investment will reduce the facility’s energy intensity, optimize energy costs, and enhance the quality and reliability of services through sustainable heat generation and higher operational efficiency. The combined operation of the heat pump and solar systems is expected to significantly reduce the use of conventional energy sources and lower operating expenses.
The project is fully consistent with the objectives of the procedure “Energy Efficiency and Use of Energy from Renewable Sources in Enterprises” and with the “Do No Significant Harm” principle, by increasing the share of renewable energy for own consumption, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and contributing to the sustainable growth of the tourism sector and the regional economy.
