“METAL – DIMITROV 59” EOOD operates the “TIR Parking & Restaurant – Vratsa” complex, comprising a secured truck parking area, restaurant, sanitary facilities (showers/toilets) and a convenience store. The site operates 24/7 and exhibits high, variable electrical loads (HVAC and ventilation, domestic hot water, kitchen appliances, refrigerated display cases/freezers, site lighting, ICT and pumps). Despite an existing PV installation for self-consumption, coverage is insufficient precisely during peak-load hours, sustaining high grid imports, costs, and exposure to price volatility. The project proposes an integrated package of energy-efficiency measures: A photovoltaic power plant for self-consumption with a 30 kW (AC) inverter, configured for self-consumption priority and zero-export where required, including monitoring and protections (AC/DC, selectivity, SPDs). Two high-efficiency air-to-air heat pumps, each with 18.7 kW heating capacity, serving the restaurant/hall/sanitary blocks, replacing inefficient heating/cooling equipment and reducing peak demand during busy periods. All measures are eligible under the List of Assets; components will be new and certified, meeting the minimum mandatory functionalities. The investment will be costed under the unit-cost methodology, with results-based disbursement (commissioning, protocols from a certified installer, photo/video evidence, meter/EMS logs). Expected results and impacts: Higher PV self-consumption and lower grid imports in working/peak hours; Significant reduction of electricity costs and price-risk exposure; More reliable power supply and improved customer comfort (thermal conditions, DHW, lighting, refrigeration); Lower indirect CO₂ emissions, contributing to the green transition. The project directly targets activity NACE 52.29 (H52 – other support activities for transportation), which is prioritized under the call, and delivers a measurable, energy, economic and environmental benefit for the complex.
