DKTEX Ltd., a leading manufacturer of non-woven textiles in Bulgaria, wants to introduce an innovation developed by them into business processes - production of goods, which will also lead to the manufacturing of innovative products. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to introduce an integrated line, whose purpose would be to produce non-woven textiles - geotextile, agrotextile and thermally strengthened needle punched felt from recycled polyester fibers, produced according to the design of DKTEX.
The production line developed by DKTEX is unique worldwide due to the fact that:
- It combines two production processes into one, which until now have been carried out separately (needle punching and thermobonding);
- It provides production flexibility through the possibility of carrying out the processes independently of each other or sequentially - needle punching only, thermobonding only or needle punching and thermobonding sequentially;
- It is able to produce thermally strengthened needle-punched products (geotextile, agrotextile and thermally strengthened needle punched felt from recycled polyester fibers), which currently do not exist on the global market.
A key advantage of the innovation developed by DKTEX is that they use as raw materials recycled polyester fibers from PET bottles (Recycled Polyester Staple Fiber - RPSF) and/or recycled polyester fibers from textile waste from various productions in Bulgaria (Post Industrial Recycled Polyester Fiber - PIRPF ) on the needle punching and thermobonding technology - 2 in 1 with the possibility of additional thermal strengthening of the needle punched products by adding low melt fibers (LMF).
