“KRUM GEROV TM” Ltd. is a manufacturing enterprise whose main activity, according to NACE code 10.71, is “Manufacture of bread, bakery and fresh pastry goods.”The project proposal aims to improve the energy efficiency of the production and administrative premises of the enterprise, located in the town of Gotse Delchev. The company produces various types of bread and operates a continuous production process that requires maintaining and constantly controlling the microclimate, as well as significant amounts of thermal energy for heating. This project envisages the implementation of energy-efficient solutions for heating and air conditioning of the production, administrative, and staff premises of the enterprise. For this purpose, the company plans to purchase and install a biomass boiler with a nominal capacity of 500 kW, designed for burning solid fuels from wood or other wood-based biomass. In parallel, the project also provides for the purchase of three high-efficiency air-to-water heat pumps, each with a heating capacity of 35 kW. With the introduction of the new air-conditioning system, it will become possible to use renewable energy sources for heating the production facilities and the administrative and staff premises. The enterprise also operates a photovoltaic plant for self-consumption, which currently supplies energy to the machinery. As an additional measure to improve the company’s energy efficiency, the project includes the purchase of local energy storage equipment (batteries) combined with an inverter (with a total capacity of 40.96 kWh). The investments will be used entirely for heating the production, administrative, and staff premises of the enterprise. The implementation of the project will support sustainable and energy-efficient production in the context of rising electricity prices, reducing both energy intensity and the carbon footprint through efficient energy use and environmental protection.
