Description

NIKEA TRADE is a small enterprise established in 2009. The company is applying under its main activity, NACE code 46.37 – Wholesale of coffee, tea, cocoa, and spices, which is eligible under the current call.

The applicant has a need to improve its energy efficiency and reduce energy costs through the implementation of renewable energy sources (RES) for its own needs. The company is currently facing challenges related to low energy efficiency, resulting in high electricity supply costs. NIKEA TRADE is significantly lagging behind in terms of decarbonization, carbon footprint reduction, and energy-efficient operations. More and more of our clients and partners are paying attention to social and environmental responsibility, which motivates us to pursue development opportunities in this direction. In addition, the implementation of the activities planned under this project proposal will contribute not only to achieving the company’s individual goals — such as reducing operating costs, improving energy security and resilience — but also to supporting national and European climate and energy objectives. This will enhance NIKEA TRADE’s ability to transition toward a low-carbon economy and strengthen its market position in the long term. To meet these needs, the current project proposal focuses on investing in the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PV system) for own consumption, located on company-owned premises in the village of Stara Reka, Tundzha Municipality, Yambol District. The purchase and commissioning of these assets will enable the company to optimize its current energy consumption, increase production efficiency, and enhance its resilience against energy price fluctuations.By implementing the project proposal, the enterprise will achieve energy savings, reduce its carbon footprint, and improve its long-term sustainability.
