BOR-DIMITROV-06 EOOD is a furniture factory specializing in the production of pine, wood and chipboard furniture. The company offers a wide range of furniture for the home, office and hotel sectors, with an emphasis on quality workmanship, functionality and durability of materials. The production process includes cutting, milling, varnishing, assembly and packaging of finished products, which requires significant energy resources. Identified problems and needs: The main challenges facing the enterprise are related to the high costs of electricity, which represent a significant share of the cost of production. The production processes are energy-intensive and include woodworking machines, compressors, lighting and ventilation systems, which operate at full capacity every day. This leads to significant energy consumption and dependence on fluctuations in electricity prices. Project Objective: The main objective of the project is to improve the energy efficiency and sustainability of BOR-DIMITROV-06 EOOD by implementing energy-efficient solutions and building a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) with a capacity of 55 kW for own consumption. Planned activities: 1. Design, supply and installation of a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) with a capacity of 55 kW. 2. Integration of the system with the internal electricity distribution network of the enterprise. 3. Carrying out tests, commissioning and training of personnel. Expected results and effects: • Electricity saved: approximately 82,000 kWh/year. • Reduced CO₂ emissions. • Reduction of energy consumption: approximately 35%. The investment will strengthen the competitiveness and image of BOR-DIMITROV-06 EOOD as a responsible manufacturer applying green technologies.
