LIMK BG Ltd. is a small enterprise operating in the "Production of Metal Products" sector (code 25.11). Its main products, accounting for over 90% of revenues (as of 2024), are metal structures for agriculture and industry, sold on the local and regional markets. The main challenges facing the company are related to high energy costs, which constitute over 30% of operational expenses, unreliable energy infrastructure in the region, and energy-intensive production requiring significant energy for machine operation and climate control in the company's workshops. To ensure a chance for sustainable development in the face of continuously rising raw material and energy prices, the company needs to reduce its production costs. For this purpose, as well as ensuring the energy independence of the enterprise, we plan to install a photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 75 kW, combined with a local storage unit – a battery with a capacity of 75 kWh. The power plant will be installed on the roof space of the company's own production building, and the energy produced by the system will be entirely intended for internal use. The project will be implemented in the village of Velkovtsi within 12 months.
