The project proposal aims to improve the energy efficiency of "Bulkoa" Ltd. and to promote climate neutrality by reducing the company’s carbon footprint, optimizing energy consumption, and increasing the share of renewable energy in its energy mix. In the context of increasing demands for sustainable economic development and in response to the challenges posed by climate change, "Bulkoa" Ltd. has identified the need to implement targeted measures to improve energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of its production activities. The greenhouse gas emission intensity in the country remains nearly four times higher than the EU average. This presents significant long-term competitiveness challenges for the Bulgarian industry. In this regard, "Bulkoa" Ltd. considers the development and implementation of additional measures and incentives for the decarbonization of the economy to be of critical importance. In a rapidly changing business environment and amid increasing requirements for sustainable development, "Bulkoa" Ltd. is taking steps to modernize its production by introducing energy efficiency measures and integrating renewable energy sources. The company fully recognizes the need to adapt to European and national green economy policies. The implementation of this project will have a positive impact on both the sustainability and competitiveness of "Bulkoa" Ltd., as well as on the overall improvement of energy efficiency within the economy. Support under this procedure will be essential for the realization of the company’s investment plans and will enable the continued transition toward a low-carbon development model. We believe that the support provided through this procedure is of key importance for achieving sustainable growth of the enterprise and for contributing to the broader transformation of the economy toward lower carbon intensity.
