The current project of "INTER STROY 1" OOD is aimed at increasing energy efficiency and the use of energy from renewable sources in the company's activities. The company carries out retail trade in paints and hardware and is a well-known and established trader at the local level. The company has a commercial site and a warehouse, where intensive business activities are carried out daily, requiring constant and significant electricity consumption. The main need that the project satisfies is reducing the company's dependence on electricity supplied from the external network, by building an 80 kW photovoltaic power plant, intended entirely for its own consumption. Along with the economic benefits, the project also meets the need to reduce the environmental footprint of the activity, by using clean energy and limiting harmful emissions into the atmosphere. The installation will be located on the roof of the warehouse, where the main and constant energy consumption is concentrated. It will include solar panels, an inverter, batteries and other components necessary for its operation. The expected results of the project implementation are the production of about 100–110 MWh of renewable energy per year, covering over 60% of the current electricity consumption of the enterprise, reducing CO₂ emissions by over 80 tons per year and sustainable development through the implementation of green technologies. With the implementation of the project, INTER STROY 1 OOD will take an important step towards more sustainable and environmentally responsible activities. The construction of its own battery-powered FPP will allow the enterprise to produce clean energy, reduce its costs and limit carbon emissions. The project is fully consistent with the objectives of the procedure for promoting energy efficiency and the use of renewable sources, while contributing to a cleaner environment, a more sustainable local economy and the long-term development of the enterprise.
