Description

The project of "SIDI-92" EOOD envisages the implementation of energy efficiency measures in the company's production base. The company is an established pasta manufacturer with a main economic activity under KID 10.73 - "Manufacture of macaroni, noodles, couscous and similar pasta products", having the most modern pasta plant in Bulgaria and maintaining long-term trade partnerships in the country and abroad (Latvia, Greece, Turkey, Japan).

The company’s operations are associated with significant electricity consumption due to the continuous operation of production lines and auxiliary systems. This results in high energy costs and a considerable carbon footprint.

To address this, the project foresees the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PV system) and installation of an energy storage system (batteries). This solution will enable the company to cover a substantial part of its own electricity needs through renewable energy production and to optimize energy use by storing surplus production and using it during peak load periods.

The expected results from the project implementation include:
• significant reduction of the company’s energy costs and dependence on the public electricity grid;
• improved energy efficiency and resilience of the production process;
• reduction of carbon emissions and substantial contribution to the objectives of the green transition;
• increased competitiveness of the company through lowering production costs and achieving more environmentally friendly production.

The project is fully aligned with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy Efficiency and RES Use in Enterprises” and complies with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle.
