"RIKS – Kolev and Stoykov" Ltd. is an enterprise with a main economic activity under the 2008 Class Classification of Enterprises 10.71 Production of bread, bakery and fresh confectionery. The company develops production activities in three bakeries, where pastry and hand-rolled banitsa crusts are produced. The work is related to the continuous operation of convection ovens, refrigerated display cases, freezers and other energy-intensive machines and equipment, which leads to high electricity consumption. On the one hand, this significantly increases production costs, and on the other hand, it has a negative impact on the environment through the release of harmful emissions, a result of the energy used from non-renewable sources. This project proposal envisages the installation of "Local energy storage facilities (batteries) in combination with inverter/s" - 61 kW to an already built photovoltaic system for self-consumption in the bakery at 40 Makedonija Street, as well as the installation of air-to-air "Heat Pumps" in the three bakeries at 40 Makedonija Street, 7 Iskar Street and 28 Veliki Preslav Blvd. The energy storage facility will provide the opportunity for accumulation and more efficient use of the electricity produced by the photovoltaic system, thus reducing dependence on the external electricity distribution network and optimizing costs. Heat pump systems will replace part of the traditional heating and cooling methods with a modern and energy-saving solution that uses air as a renewable energy source. The expected effect is a significant reduction in energy consumption and production costs, combined with a tangible contribution to environmental protection by limiting the carbon footprint and reducing harmful emissions. The project will support the transition to sustainable production and contribute to national and European climate neutrality goals, while ensuring more competitive products produced in a nature-friendly manner.
