The project proposal is focused on the use of renewable energy by VENI 97 through the construction of a PVPP, the electricity produced by which will be used exclusively for own consumption in two main areas: 1.In the production processes related to the construction or reconstruction of energy facilities–the available welding machines, cutting machines, hydraulic press, measuring instruments, rail-mounted crane at the base, screwdrivers, drills, soldering irons, and other specialized equipment operate solely on electricity; 2.For heating and cooling of the administrative building, as well as the production and storage premises, since air conditioning units operating on electricity are used to maintain optimal temperatures necessary for: -the correct and precise execution of preliminary or subsequent control tests and/or measurements of facilities and/or individual devices incorporated in their construction -the proper storage of certain materials and/or equipment prior to their incorporation into the respective construction site/project -ensuring a suitable working environment–appropriate temperature in the working areas at the base, adequate lighting, and proper functioning of office equipment such as computers and printers The planned construction of the PVPP will enable the company to secure a reliable, sustainable, competitive, and economically viable energy supply The need for constructing the PVPP has been primarily identified in relation to the necessity of enhancing the sustainable competitiveness of VENI 97, as a result of the accelerated transition towards climate neutrality through reducing the carbon footprint and increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the company’s energy mix The project investment is considered key for the company and will have a cumulative effect on ensuring its sustainable development, in accordance with the horizontal principles under Ar. 9 of Reg. (EU) No 2021/1060, including the Do No Significant Harm principle
