The present project proposal foresees the replacement of the existing roof insulation panels with state-of-the-art, energy-efficient solutions that are fully compliant with the relevant national legislation, European Union directives on energy performance and building characteristics, as well as the specific requirements of the programme. The integration of high-performance energy-efficient equipment and materials will enhance the enterprise’s capacity to remain competitive on the market and pursue its long-term investment strategy. Moreover, the implementation of the proposed activities is expected to mitigate the adverse impacts stemming from the recent substantial increase in electricity prices for non-household end consumers. The execution of the proposed measures will result in: A substantial reduction in specific energy consumption for heating and cooling purposes; Enhanced thermal insulation performance and improved indoor environmental quality; Decreased greenhouse gas emissions and a reduced overall carbon footprint of the company; Optimised operational and maintenance expenditures through improved energy efficiency; Prolonged service life of the building envelope and associated structural elements. By implementing these energy efficiency measures, the company will make a direct and measurable contribution to the objectives and priorities of the programme, facilitating its transition towards a sustainable, resource-efficient, and climate-neutral business model, in alignment with the goals of the European Green Deal and relevant EU policy frameworks.
