Description

The project proposal of NATIONAL – 2009 Ltd. aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of the “National” restaurant in Hisarya, through the implementation of an integrated system for the generation, storage, and efficient use of electricity from renewable energy sources.
The main goal of the project is to achieve lower energy consumption, greater energy independence, and sustainable resource management, by providing a reliable, environmentally friendly, and economically efficient energy solution for the commercial site.
The investment consists of three interrelated measures:
•	A photovoltaic power plant (PV system) with an installed capacity of 30 kWp, designed for the restaurant’s own electricity needs. The system is equipped with an integrated battery storage module with a capacity of 30 kWh, allowing energy accumulation and usage during peak consumption or periods of low solar radiation;
•	An additional local energy storage system (batteries with inverters) with a capacity of 31.2 kWh, expanding the overall storage capability to a total of 61.2 kWh, ensuring higher operational autonomy and system efficiency;
•	A high-efficiency air-to-air heat pump with a heating capacity of 27.5 kW, replacing conventional heating and cooling units and contributing to more efficient and environmentally friendly operation.
The project implementation will result in a significant reduction in electricity consumption from the external grid, optimization of energy costs, and decrease of CO₂ emissions, while improving the company’s sustainability and environmental performance.
The project fully aligns with the objectives of the procedure “Energy Efficiency for SMEs”, focused on enhancing energy efficiency, integrating renewable energy technologies, and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy, thereby contributing to the goals of the European Green Deal and Bulgaria’s National Energy and Climate Plan.
