Vodstroy JSC. owns and operates its own annual technical inspection station located in the Western Industrial Zone of Razgrad. The station provides reliable services for technical inspections of light and heavy vehicles, specialized transport vehicles, including agricultural and construction machinery. A major problem for the company and its activities is the condition of the building housing the station. The building was constructed in the mid-20th century and has poor thermal and hydro insulation; while the roof is structurally sound, its insulation is compromised. The heating and cooling systems are inefficient due to the low-grade glazing and worn-out doors. During peak cold and hot periods of the year, heating/cooling costs are extremely high, making it economically disadvantageous to provide the services. The current project proposal includes investing in measures to improve the energy efficiency of the building - an annual technical inspection station owned by the Candidate. These measures include applying thermal insulation to the roof area with a surface of 230 sq.m., replacing doors and windows with new ones featuring at least double glazing and frames made from extruded polyvinyl chloride (PVC) - a total of 75 sq.m., and replacing 40 sq.m. sectional doors with new ones with improved insulation. These implemented measures will enhance energy efficiency and reduce operating costs, helping to maintain the competitive advantages of the service offered by Vodstroy JSC in Razgrad.
