"PANDA" Ltd. is a company specialized in the production of metal structures and parts thereof for construction (halls, walkways and pedestrian bridges, towers, emergency stairs, agricultural facilities, pavilions, staircases). The activity is carried out in its own production facility located in the city of Dobrich. As a manufacturing company, where the energy component is a significant factor in forming the cost of production, "PANDA" Ltd. is faced with challenges related to the high energy intensity of production processes, dependence on external energy suppliers and fluctuations in electricity prices. To address these challenges and in accordance with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 "Energy efficiency and use of energy from renewable sources in enterprises", the project envisages the implementation of investments under item 9 and item 16 of the List of eligible assets, namely: • Implementation of new energy-efficient rotary compressor, receiver and compressed air dryer, ensuring lower specific electricity consumption and high reliability of the technological process; • Construction of a rooftop photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 50 kW, including solar panels, inverters, batteries and other components necessary for the operation of the plant, intended entirely for the enterprise's own consumption. As a result of the implementation of the project, a significant reduction in energy costs, limitation of greenhouse gas emissions and increased competitiveness of the enterprise will be achieved through the implementation of sustainable energy management solutions. The project is in line with the objectives of the Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises Programme 2021–2027 and contributes to the transition to a climate-neutral economy. The total investment value is BGN 168,263.47 excluding VAT, and the project duration is 12 months.
