Eko Forest Group Ltd. produces products positioned under four NACE Rev.2 codes. The main activity is NACE 16.24 (70%) – Manufacture of wooden packaging, where we produce various types of wooden packaging. Under NACE 16.29 (14%) we manufacture pellets from wood residues generated during industrial wood processing, including residues from the production of wooden packaging. Under NACE 16.10 (14%) we process raw timber – an activity which is ineligible (further explained in section 7.2) and will not benefit from the investment under this project proposal. Under NACE 31.09 (2%) the company manufactures other types of furniture. The main investment code is 16.24. All eligible activities are highly energy-intensive, with an annual electricity consumption of around 450-500 MWh (excluding code 16.10). Therefore, we chose to implement an investment in photovoltaic panels in combination with inverters, intended for self-consumption and installed on the roof of the production facility. The planned capacity is 140 kW, expected to supply about 35–40% of the electricity needs for the eligible activities. The investment will result in lower electricity costs, stabilized production processes, reduced carbon emissions, and enhanced competitiveness of the company.
