"Velox Systems" Ltd. is a company specializing in the production of metal structures for awnings, farm and industrial buildings. The building, with an area of 229 sq.m., was constructed more than 50 years ago. The window frames are metal with single-glazed windows, and the enclosing walls lack implemented thermal insulation systems. Currently, the building does not comply with the existing Ordinance № 7 from 2004 on the energy efficiency of buildings. Energy costs for cooling the production facilities are over three times higher than similar buildings with implemented energy efficiency measures. Compressed air for the production rooms is generated by a piston compressor without inverter control, which consumes twice as much electricity as a modern rotary inverter compressor. The project foresees the following activities: 1.Implementation of construction and installation works (CIS) to improve the energy efficiency of the building – carrying out 270 sq.m. of wall insulation, 100 sq.m. of window replacement, installation of an aluminum entry door. The construction systems and materials used will meet the specifications of the list of eligible assets. 2.Delivery and installation of an inverter-controlled screw compressor and a dryer. Additionally, a large receiver tank for compressed air will be supplied. As a result of the planned activities within the project, the following outcomes are expected: 1.Improved microclimate and reduced energy consumption for heating and cooling. 2.50% reduction in energy consumption for compressed air production. 3.Increased competitiveness of the enterprise. The target groups for the project are: The enterprise as a business entity, increasing resource efficiency and reducing its energy intensity. The employees, who will benefit from an improved working environment and controlled microclimate.
