"Boyanska Roza" Ltd. is one of the leading stone-cutting enterprises in the country. The company specializes in the design, production and installation of tombstones, memorial plaques and urns made of marble, granite and limestone. The stone-cutting industry is one of the most energy-intensive, as machines for cutting, grinding and polishing stone are characterized by high energy consumption. The continuous increase in electricity prices has a direct and serious impact on the company's activities, mainly on increasing the cost of production. The unpredictability of electricity price growth requires taking immediate measures to reduce the company's dependence on external energy sources. The idea of this project is to increase the energy efficiency of "Boyanska Roza" Ltd. by building a photovoltaic system (PPP) with a capacity of 75 kW for its own needs, including electrical energy storage facilities (batteries), which will contribute to the balance in the produced power of photovoltaics, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The goal is to increase the energy security and sustainability of the company through local production of electricity, which reduces the company's dependence on external energy sources and improves the predictability of production costs. The implementation of the investments will provide significant economic, energy and strategic benefits for "Boyanska Roza" Ltd.: - reduction of electricity bills by over 30% - protection from future spikes in electricity prices - energy independence - increased sustainability, competitiveness, etc. The construction of a solar power plant for its own needs will accelerate the company's transition to climate neutrality by reducing its carbon footprint, optimizing energy consumption, and increasing renewable sources in the company's energy mix, contributing to achieving national goals for energy transformation and climate neutrality.
