The current project is aimed at improving the energy efficiency and supporting the use of energy from renewable sources (RS), thereby accelerating the transition of lifting machinery manufacturing company "Lift Group Aspect 1" Ltd. to climate neutrality, by reducing the carbon footprint, optimising the energy consumption, and increasing RS in the company’s energy mix. This will be achieved through an investment in the construction of local energy storage facilities (batteries) in combination with inverters with a total capacity of 125 kW, which will be connected to the already existing photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) in the enterprise, the energy from which will be used solely for own consumption. The planned investment is expected to reduce the total production costs in the existing production facility of the company, located in the town of Vetren, Septemvri municipality. The implementation of the project will help to achieve a number of priorities that are part of the medium and long-term strategy of the enterprise, namely: increasing energy efficiency; optimisation of production costs and reduction of the cost of production; expansion of market positions; increasing resource effectiveness and efficiency of the production process. The implementation of the project will help overcome a number of problems facing the company namely: limited opportunities to offer the company’s products at competitive prices; unsatisfactory degree of use of the potential of renewable energy sources for the purposes of the production process; high costs of electricity required for the production of electric elevators and elevating parking systems, etc.
